Trauma and PTSD

How you operate.

You witnessed something and it’s hard to move forward. Maybe it was years ago or yesterday — either way you're feeling a lot (and sometimes, ironically, nothing at all). You’re experiencing trauma and PTSD symptoms such as distressing memories, fear, anxiety, anger, numbness, depression, guilt, dissociation, flashbacks, nightmares, avoidance, and hopelessness.

How we help.

We’ll guide you gently and warmly through an evidence-based treatment called Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) which takes anywhere from 7-15 sessions (although the average number of sessions it takes to complete treatment is 10!). At a session frequency we decide on together (daily, biweekly, or weekly), we’ll support you in exploring the impact and meaning the traumatic event (or events) has had on your life and help you examine and change unhelpful thoughts and feelings related to the event, yourself, others, and the world.
