Mitch is a Los Angeles-based psychotherapist dedicated to helping his clients live happier lives through reducing internal shame, cultivating self-compassion and rewriting limiting personal narratives. Mitch primarily works with adolescents and adult clients (ages 13 – 45) experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma symptoms, frequent anger, critical self-talk, career changes, and LGBTQIA+ issues.
Mitch applies a wholistic approach, considering how his clients’ race, class, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, health, and physical abilities contribute to how they navigate their worlds. Mitch heavily utilizes evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Exposure Therapy. He seeks to create a therapeutic space where clients feel safe and accepted as they are.
Before working in mental health, Mitch earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Brigham Young University and worked in investment banking and corporate finance. Mitch earned his Master’s degree in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach.
Originally from Phoenix, Mitch loves living in LA where he can exist in weather under 100 degrees. In his spare time, you can find Mitch hiking, trying new restaurants, with his friends, or at the gym.
Mitch is an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW #116663) practicing under the supervision of Brooke Schwartz (LCSW #105459)
